Singer Seo In Young is going through divorce proceedings after just one year of marriage, and her agency has commented on the matter.
According to OSEN on the 5th of March, Seo In Young has decided to divorce her non-celebrity businessman husband and is currently going through the divorce process. Although she denied the divorce rumors last year, she has ultimately entered into divorce proceedings after just one year of marriage.
Regarding the circulating claims of blame on her husband, Seo In Young’s new agency, SW Entertainment, stated, “Regarding the divorce, it is related to personal matters, and we have nothing further to say at this time. We will provide an official statement through a press release once everything is settled.”
Furthermore, a representative stated, “We originally intended to talk about Seo In Young’s signing with our agency, but it seems that articles have been published regarding the divorce reasons. The divorce and the blame are personal matters, and we have not had detailed discussions with Seo In Young. We will release an official statement after discussing with the artist.”
Seo In Young, who is originally from the group Jewelry, got married to an IT businessman in February last year at a luxury hotel in Namsan, Seoul. The couple garnered attention by having a fast wedding after dating for just 5 months, and Seo In Young expressed happiness in various broadcasts about her honeymoon life with her husband.
However, in September of the same year, rumors of divorce surfaced just 7 months into their marriage. Reports claimed, “Husband A has filed for divorce against Seo In Young, and although the background of the lawsuit is unknown, it is speculated that the fault lies with Seo In Young.”
At the time, Seo In Young gave interviews through various media outlets and admitted to some conflicts in the marriage but denied the divorce. Meanwhile, Seo In Young has also found a new agency amidst the divorce proceedings. She has signed with SW Entertainment, a global comprehensive entertainment company under the SW Media Group.
