Red Velvet member Irene has renewed her contract with SM Entertainment.
Recently, SM Entertainment announced, “Irene has renewed her contract with SM based on deep trust. Under SM’s full support, Irene is planning to pursue various activities in the future.”
Irene has been active as a member of Red Velvet and has released many hit songs such as “Red Flavor,” “Peek-A-Boo,” “Psycho,” and “Feel My Rhythm.”
Furthermore, Red Velvet, which Irene is a part of, is celebrating their 10th debut anniversary this year, and there is much anticipation for their upcoming activities.
Irene stated, “I have decided to renew my contract with SM, the company that I have been with since my debut, and trust the staff members and SM who have made me who I am today.” She also expressed her gratitude to the fans who have always supported Red Velvet and promised to show a good image through various activities with the members this year.
SM Entertainment also stated, “Based on trust and partnership, we have renewed the contract with Irene following Seulgi. We will provide diverse support so that she can actively engage in activities as a global artist, and we ask for your continued love and interest.”
Meanwhile, Red Velvet, including Irene, will participate in “SMTOWN LIVE 2024 SMCU PALACE @TOKYO,” which will be held at the Tokyo Dome in Japan on February 21-22.
