NewJeans has achieved a career high.
On July 21, NewJeans released their second mini-album ‘Get Up’ and unveiled the music video. The album includes six tracks: ‘New Jeans,’ ‘Super Shy,’ ‘ETA,’ ‘Cool with You,’ ‘Get Up,’ and ‘ASAP.’
As of 5:38 PM on the same day, New Jeans’ second mini-album surpassed 1.1 million copies in sales.
NewJeans’ first single album ‘OMG,’ released in January, recorded a first-week sales of 700,000 copies, ranking 9th among all girl group albums for the highest first-week sales. This achievement is the highest first-week sales for NewJeans.
The pre-order sales for this album exceeded 800,000 copies, more than twice the pre-order sales of ‘OMG.’ So far, only six girl groups, including BLACKPINK, aespa, (G)I-DLE, IVE, and NMIXX, have achieved million-seller status in first-week sales.
Attention is now focused on whether New Jeans can achieve a record-breaking 2 million copies in sales with this album, making them the first girl group to do so.
