The boy group NCT NEW TEAM will debut as a 6-member group, two of which have already been made public.
The teaser video for the pre-debut reality show “NCT Universe: LASTART” was released on the group’s YouTube channel on the 5th of July at 6 p.m. The teaser video showed trainees who went through intense training, creating a tense atmosphere.
In addition, through the teaser video, it was revealed that only 4 out of the 10 trainees, excluding the two SMROOKIES members [Yushi and Sion], would be selected as the final members. The system and selection process leading up to their debut have garnered attention worldwide.
“NCT Universe: LASTART,” which will premiere on July 27th, is a pre-debut reality show that introduces the last team within NCT, one of the three rookie teams mentioned in the “SM 3.0: NEW IP 2023” video. Male trainees participating in the program will compete in missions to be selected as debut members. Yushi and Sion have already been named as part of the lineup.
The program name “LASTART” is a combination of “LAST” and “START,” symbolizing the end of NCT’s infinite expansion and the beginning of a new team. In addition to introducing NCT’s new team, the program allows fans to get a glimpse of the previously undisclosed process of launching a new team under SM Entertainment, which has attracted global fans’ attention since the launch news.
“NCT Universe: LASTART” will be broadcast in South Korea, Japan, and the United States.
