NCT‘s member Taeil‘s motorcycle accident has been addressed by the group’s member Chenle, and their agency, SM Entertainment, has released a statement regarding the incident.
On the 15th of August, SM Entertainment revealed through a community platform, “Earlier this morning, after completing his schedule, Taeil was involved in a motorcycle accident while returning home. He was immediately taken to the hospital for a detailed examination and treatment.”
They further stated, “The medical examination revealed a fracture in his right thigh, and the medical staff recommended surgery. Currently, Taeil is receiving necessary treatment and resting at the hospital in preparation for the upcoming surgery.”
The next day, Chenle mentioned the details of Taeil’s accident during a personal live broadcast, stating that “Taeil definitely did not violate any traffic signals, but the other party didn’t see the traffic light and caused the accident.”
Fans have been criticizing SM’s response
Regarding this, an SM Entertainment representative told MyDaily, “As the police investigation is currently ongoing, we cannot provide detailed information.”
Taeil will be temporarily suspending all his schedules and will focus on treatment and recovery. He will also be absent from the upcoming NCT group concert, “NCT Nation: To The World,” which is scheduled for the 26th.
