MONSTA X’s Jooheon will be enlisting in the military very soon!
On July 11, MONSTA X’s Jooheon shared a personal handwritten letter to fans via the group’s official fan café, in the letter he reveals he’s set to enlist in the military on July 24.
Read his letter:
Hello. My beloved Monbebes. It feels like I’ve spent this year really busy. That’s because I’ve spent more time with our Monbebes and created many memories together, right? The feelings that were filled with all the love that Monbebes have shown me during our time together still fill me with happiness.”
Since this time spent with our members and Monbebes is so precious and happy for me, I wanted to spend a little more time with all of you before sharing this news today.
Monbebes, I will be enlisting in the military on July 24th. I have been contemplating when would be the best time to share this news. As there is not much time left, I am concerned about how Monbebes will feel.
Military duty is something that I must do. I will go courageously and come back. Don’t worry, it’s not a permanent farewell. Promise me that you will think of Jooheon at least once a day!”

With this, Jooheon becomes the third member of MONSTA X to enlist in the military, following Shownu, who completed his social service duty, and Minhyuk, who is currently serving in active duty.
