(G)I-DLE‘s Soyeon has recently discussed the song review process.
On the radio show MBC Radio FM4U’s “Kim Shin Young’s Hope Song at Noon” aired on the 14th, Soyeon of (G)I-DLE said, “There are many songs that did not pass the review process.”
(G)I-DLE recently released their regular album ‘2’ and is currently promoting the title track ‘Super Lady.’
Regarding the regular album, Soyeon said, “There were many songs that we couldn’t include in the mini album, so we wanted to promote them through the regular album. The mini album focuses more on the story and the atmosphere of the songs, while the regular album shows a more diverse side. It wasn’t difficult to work on the regular album either.”
Soyeon expressed disappointment that many songs from the new album did not pass the review process. However, she was delighted when the track ‘Wife,’ which was included in the album, passed the review process at MBC.
The pre-released track ‘Wife’ by (G)I-DLE caused controversy due to its explicit lyrics. KBS deemed it unsuitable for broadcast due to its sexual content, but (G)I-DLE did not have plans to promote ‘Wife’ separately and did not modify the lyrics.
