The next move for singer G-Dragon (real name Kwon Ji-yong, 35), who parted ways with YG Entertainment, is taking shape.
According to the entertainment industry on the 5th of December, it is reported that an exclusive contract between G-Dragon and Galaxy Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Galaxy), which is engaged in IP (Intellectual Property) management, content production, and more, is imminent.
An industry insider stated, “It is understood that G-Dragon has reached an agreement on the details of an exclusive contract with Galaxy. An official announcement is expected soon.
Regarding questions about the timing of the contract with Galaxy, Galaxy stated, “We cannot officially answer at the moment. It is currently difficult for the company to respond, and we will provide an answer when it becomes possible to disclose later.”
Galaxy was established on August 9, 2019. While its main business is IP development and licensing, it has expanded its scope into entertainment program production such as ‘Physical: 100’ and ‘Street Woman Fighter,’ management, commerce, and more through its subsidiaries.
Eyes are on G-dragon following his departure from YG whom he had been with since his debut.
