FTISLAND’s Minhwan and former LABOUM member Yulhee are currently going through divorce mediation.
On the 4th of December, FNC Entertainment stated, “After careful consideration, Choi Minhwan and Kim Yulhee have decided to divorce, and the divorce mediation process is underway.”
They added, “Minhwan has agreed to have custody of the three children. We apologize for causing concern to those who have supported both of them with the sudden news. Choi Minhwan will strive to greet everyone with a better image in the future.”
On the same day, both Choi Minhwan and Yulhee personally shared the news of their divorce. Yulhee mentioned, “After a lot of time and effort and through conversation, we have decided to support each other on our separate paths. Although the path of our marriage has ended here, as parents to our children, it is not the end. We both do our best to take care of and communicate with our children.”
Choi Minhwan also stated, “After a long discussion, our couple decided to conclude our married life. We are grateful to everyone who supported and watched over our decision to start a family at a young age. I will do my best as a father until the end, so that our children do not carry any emotional scars.”
Choi Minhwan and Yulhee welcomed their first son in May 2018 and held their wedding in October of the same year. The couple gave birth to twin daughters in February 2020, completing their family with three children.
