BTSJungkook has revealed the way to maintain a proper relationship with ARMY while confessing the damages caused by sasaengs [obsessive stalker so-called fans].

Recently, Jungkook had a photoshoot and interview with the British magazine Dazed. Jungkook, who wanted to become a famous singer, does not take fans’ overflowing love for granted and stated, “Now I think I should humbly accept that love. I hope that fans can gain more confidence and self-esteem through my love and support.”

Jungkook also expressed his desire to try various genres of music to test what kind of music he can produce with his voice. He said, “When I hear the music and it’s good, I just proceed with it regardless of the genre. It feels really good to hear people say, ‘Oh, he can pull off any genre,’ so it’d be really fun to surprise people.”

Jungkook, who was known for his image as the youngest member, made a bold attempt by releasing his solo song “Seven” in two versions: a “Clean” version and an “Explicit” version with lyrics restricted for listeners under the age of 19. When asked if the explicit version was necessary, Jungkook responded, “If you felt [it] like that… there’s nothing I can do… And if you think about it, how old am I?” He also expressed his love for things such as starting boxing and getting tattoos and piercings. He said, “I like extreme things. People always say that I look round and soft, but I want a sharp and intense image.”

Jungkook’s honesty stems from the deep connection with his fandom ARMY. He regularly hosts live broadcasts, showing his daily life without hesitation. Fans also naturally make requests to him, such as “Don’t drink too much” or “Go to bed early.” Jungkook stated, “they say that because they have interest in me and they like me, so I don’t mind at all.”

Moreover, Jungkook sternly warns sasaengs who sent food delivery to his home in May. They even came to the gym where Jungkook was. However, Jungkook said, “It’s not a complicated relationship. I talk to them freely and they can talk to me freely, and it’s my choice to listen to them or not. If they say something inappropriate, it’s also my choice, my freedom, to take that in and accept it or to ignore it.”
