BTS member Jin has been promoted to Corporal while serving in the military as a special-class soldier.
Jin was originally scheduled to become a Corporal on September 1, based on his enlistment date, but he was promoted early as a special-class soldier.
The title of special-class soldier is given to outstanding soldiers with exceptional combat abilities each quarter. They must achieve high scores in activities such as a 3-kilometer run, marksmanship, and mental resilience.
Jin became the first member of BTS to enlist in December last year. He is currently serving as an instructor in the 5th Infantry Division Training Center, located in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province.
