33rd Golden Disk Awards day 1 was held on January 5, 2019 at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. The award ceremony celebrated the best of releases throughout 2018.
The MCs of the show were Lee Seung Gi and Park Min Young.
Various artists attended the ceremony including actors who were also in attendance to present awards. YG artists also attended the show, iKON and BLACKPINK attended the event.
The award show was highly anticipated and for a couple of reasons. It also became BLACKPINK’s Jennie first public appearance following her dating news which broke out on January 1st.
SM and YG Entertainment confirmed Jennie was dating Kai of EXO. Fans were looking forward to seeing Jennie in her first public appearance since the news, all eyes were on her.
She graced the red carpet with her fellow members wearing a white long dress looking flawless. Twitter was full of praise for the lovely Jennie who showed an amazing performance at the event, she performed her hit track “SOLO” and later joined her group to perform some of their hit tracks.
