Girl group BLACKPINK will continue their activities as a four-member group. However, individual contracts are still under discussion.

On the 6th of December, their agency, YG Entertainment, announced, “We have completed the board resolution regarding the group exclusive contract for all four members of BLACKPINK, our affiliated artists.”

After the expiration of the contract term in August, BLACKPINK has been in discussions with the agency about re-signing. During this process, they decided to maintain group activities, but individual contracts for each member are still undecided. Two members are rumored to be surely leaving the agency.

BLACKPINK concluded their world tour ‘THE SHOW’ in September, gathering 1.8 million people and achieving cumulative sales close to 300 billion won. Even if individual exclusive contracts do not materialize, it is anticipated that YG and each member will achieve astronomical revenue through BLACKPINK’s group activities alone.
