AKMU’s Lee Suhyun honestly expressed her feelings about the difficult days of her past slump and thanked fans in heartfelt.
On the 31st of August, Lee Suhyun posted to her personal Instagram account to express her thoughts about the end of her and her brother’s comeback’s promotions. The post gained attention and went viral for how beautiful it was worded.
She wrote,
At this point when Love Lee’s activities are coming to an end, I’d like to have a serious talk.
It feels like it’s been about three years. It was a long time for me, a time that didn’t flow. Now, I’ve made a promise to myself that I need to live, and I wanted to live again.
With the support of my family, friends, and colleagues who cherish and love me, I gained strength. While preparing for a comeback, I was also worried and afraid.
Knowing that there are many who love the side of me that always smiles brightly and sings with excitement, I didn’t want to show my current self. I didn’t want to be seen or recognized, so I stayed indoors for a long time.
But someone said something. They said people love AKMU because from a young age, we’ve grown up together with the public, honestly singing and expressing ourselves without lying, showing the changes like age does.
Hearing that, I thought maybe this time, I shouldn’t pretend too much. Even if I hear disappointing words or face resentment for being who I am now, I decided I should show my honest self.
But I found out that I am loved much more than I thought.

Seeing comments like, ‘I cherish you like a daughter,’ ‘like a niece,’ ‘like an older sister,’ and ‘like a younger sibling,’ were such overwhelming encouragement, more than I could imagine. I felt like I needed to love and take care of myself more.
To my older brother who worked hard to focus on me and support me for this album, and to the broadcasting station staff who warmly welcomed me despite my long absence, and to the company that trusted and entrusted me even during the hiatus, and to our fans who cheered for me so loudly, there are so many things to be thankful for.
