If there is anything we can call the year 2022 its this, the year of ‘Korean celebrity weddings.’
Per our calculations, we counted more than 26 Korean celebrity couples who got married this year. Since so many Korean celebrities married this year, it might even be a bigger number. And quite honestly, there could be even more we missed.

In today’s list, we shall go the biggest and most shocking Korean wedding news that dominated headlines in the year 2022, some of the couples have already married this year while others have confirmed they’re getting married very soon.

Jang Nara
The news of Jang Nara’s wedding took fans by surprise, as it came suddenly and happened so fast.
On June 26, Jang Nara married her non-celebrity husband in an outdoor wedding in the presence of her family and friends. Among the attendance were Jung Yonghwa and Lee Sang Yoon who had both worked with Jang Nara on recent projects.
Back in early June, Jang Nara surprised her fans with her announcement that she plans on getting married to a non-celebrity 6 years her junior.
Rapper Loco
While many fans were busy still shipping Loco with Hwasa, the rapper came out with the shocking announcement of his marriage earlier this year.
On September 13, the rapper took to his personal Instagram account to share the happy news with fans. He explained he’s getting married to his girlfriend of 2 years.
Fans had not been aware the rapper had been dating. He revealed that he met a same-age friend whom he had grown up with after his military discharge and they ended up spending time together and developed into more than friends.
Park Shin Hye Choi Tae Joon
Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon have been the talk of town in early 2022 with their lavish wedding held in the presence of many A-list celebrities.
On January 22, Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon tied the knot. The wedding was private and was attended by 200 guests. Many celebrities attended the event as well. And the couple also shared a glimpse from their wedding photoshoot prior to it. But that wasn’t the end of it, Park Shin Hye surprised fans that day when she for the first time shared a picture of her and her husband on her Instagram story following their wedding, the picture showed the couple wearing traditional Korean wedding attire with the caption “Can’t let go of the beauty of mischief.”
Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon confirmed they were dating in 2017. On November 23 of 2021 morning, Park Shin Hye wrote a letter to announce that she’s getting married and having a baby, her agency later confirmed in an official statement the happy news.
Gong Hyo Jin and Kevin Oh
Actress Gong Hyo Jin‘s marriage to singer Kevin Oh was also a hot topic in 2022.
On September 12, Gong Hyo Jin’s agency, Soop Management said that Gong Hyo Jin and Kevin Oh got married in the presence of relatives of both families on the afternoon of October 11 in New York. Later, Gong Hyo Jin shared a picture with Kevin Oh. The couple can be seen smiling brightly and showing their wedding rings. She captioned with, “J U S T M A RR I E D !”
Gong Hyo Jin confirmed her relationship with singer Kevin Oh back in April of 2022. In particular, Gong Hyo Jin received a bouquet at the wedding of Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin, which naturally sparked rumors of her marriage to Kevin Oh.
Fellow actors Jung Ryeo Won and Uhm Ji Won, who are best friends of Gong Hyo Jin, attended the wedding.
Namgoong Min and Jin Ah Reum
Actor Namgoong Min and Jin Ah Reum are one of the most beloved long-time celebrity couples who tied the knot in 2022.
The long-time couple has gotten married on October 7 in the attendance of many of their famous friends as well as family and acquaintances.
Previously, Namgoong Min took to his Instagram to share a beautiful photo from his wedding, he captioned with, “This is actor Namgoong Min. To the many people who congratulated us, we sincerely thank you. We will work harder and live happily in the future.”
Namgoong Min has been in a relationship with Jin Ah Reum for seven years since they went public with their relationship in 2016.
Kim Yuna and FORESTELLA’s Ko Woo Rim
Figure Skating Champion Kim Yuna shocked her fans with the sudden announcement of her marriage to a relatively unknown singer named Ko Woo Rim. Many fans were curious about the guy who stole the nation’s queen’s heart.
Figure skating queen Kim Yuna and FORESTELLA’s Ko Woo Rim had a wedding in Seoul on October 22 after three years of dating. Shin Dong Yeop hosted the ceremony and FORESTELLA sang the congratulatory song.
Since then, the couple shared many wedding photos to the fans around the world. Kim Yuna and Ko Woo Rim, who entered at the same time, had a movie-like wedding amid the guests’ congratulations.
T-Ara’s Jiyeon and Baseball player Jae Gyun Hwang
T-ara’s Jiyeon and Baseball player Jae Gyun Hwang warmed fans’ hearts with their surprise announcement of marriage earlier this year.
The two made a surprise wedding announcement in February of 2022. The couple skipped making announcements about their dating and immediately announced their marriage, drawing attention. It was reported they will be getting married on December 10.
Earlier, Jiyeon posted on her Instagram, “I have a boyfriend whom I met with good feelings after getting to know through an acquaintance last year. I promised to get married in the coming winter to my boyfriend, who was always considerate and cared for me first and taught me that happiness was a gift in my life.”
The couple got married on December 10. The two will continue their activities in their respective jobs after marriage.
Son Dam Bi and Lee Kyou Hyuk
Son Dam Bi and Lee Kyou Hyuk have also made headlines for their beautiful marriage in the summer of 2022.
The couple confirmed they were dating back in December of 2021 and on January 25, Son Dam Bi took to her personal Instagram account to announce the happy news to fans.
On May 16, Son Dam Bi’s agency H& Entertainment released photos from her wedding along with a short statement thanking fans for sending their blessing and warmly supporting the actress as she begins the second act of her life.
Rapper San E
Rapper San E’s agency announced his marriage plans earlier this year surprising everyone.
In late August of 2022, San E was reported to be holding a wedding on September 24. The wife was reported to be a junior, not a celebrity. The agency also officially announced the news via a statement, “San will have a wedding on September 24.”
San E, who was born in 1985, debuted in 2008 and was known for his sweet emotional songs such as “A Midsummer Night’s Sweetness” and “The Story of Someone I Know.” San E also released duet songs with various artists such as Suran, Raina, Yuju, and Baek Yerin.
