It has been reported that Prosecutor Shin Jun-ho of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, who is in charge of investigating serious crimes, has summoned actor Yoo Ah In for questioning on the suspicion of habitual drug use (violation of the Narcotics Control Act) on the 12th.
This is the first investigation conducted on Yoo Ah In since he was released without detention after being transferred to the police three months ago.
The police began the investigation after receiving records from the Korea Food and Drug Administration last year, stating that Yoo Ah In had administered propofol more than 73 times, totaling over 4,000 mL, throughout 2021.
Through the police investigation and the forensic analysis conducted by the National Forensic Service, it was alleged that Yoo Ah In had used more than 8 types of drugs, including marijuana, propofol, cocaine, ketamine, zolpidem, midazolam, and alprazolam.
It has also been reported that the prosecution is considering the possibility of requesting a warrant for Yoo Ah In’s arrest after the investigation, again.
The police previously applied for an arrest warrant on May 24, citing concerns of evidence destruction and flight risk after conducting two rounds of questioning on Yoo Ah In. However, the court rejected the request.
