Yoo Ah In’s legal representative has revealed their position regarding the postponement of the date of the police investigation.
Infinity, Yoo Ah In’s legal representative firm, said on March 23rd, “The case being investigated by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Unit regarding drug use,” adding, “We have been informed by the Drug Crime Investigation Unit to attend this Friday (March 24).”
The defense team emphasized that Yoo Ah In’s summons was supposed to be private information but all the media outlets have reported it. Therefore, they have requested a change in the date.
Previously, Yoo Ah In was scheduled to be investigated by the police on March 24th. However, the date of attendance was known to the media in advance, and Yoo Ah In, feeling the burden, seems to have requested a private summons.
Yoo Ah In is accused of habitual use of propofol and four types of narcotics, including marijuana, cocaine, and ketamine. The investigation team conducted a search and seizure of Yoo Ah In’s home and the hospital where propofol was administered. An investigation was also conducted by Yoo Ah In’s acquaintances and agency officials.

This is Um Hong Sik (stage name: Yoo Ah-in)’s legal representative, Infinity.
As you know, Um Hong Sik is currently being investigated by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Unit in connection with drug use and has been notified by the Drug Crime Investigation Unit to attend and be investigated this Friday (March 24). At that time, the police notified the lawyer that Um Hong Sik’s summons was private summons. Regardless of whether it is notified or not, according to the “Rules on Public Information of Police Investigation Cases, etc.”, it is a principle that the summons of suspects is kept private
However, as you know, it has been reported in all media that Um Hong Sik will be present on Friday, and among them, the police confirmed the date and time of Um Hong Sik’s attendance. As a result, Um Hong Sik’s attendance has virtually been summoned publicly, which is clear to violate the relevant legal regulations. Therefore, as a lawyer, I inevitably asked the police to adjust the attendance date.
