Woo Do Hwan has recently sat down for an interview to discuss his newest drama “Bloodhounds”!

This week, an interview took place with Woo Do Hwan at a café in Gangnam, Seoul.

“Bloodhounds” depicts the story of two young men entangled in the world of loan sharks, where money takes precedence over human life, as they fight against a powerful evil force at the risk of their lives. It is a Netflix series that combines youth, investigation, and action.

According to the Netflix Top 10 website (Top10.netflix.com) on the 14th, “Bloodhounds” recorded 27.97 million minutes of viewing time within three days of its release, quickly rising to 2nd place in the Netflix Global Top 10 TV category (non-English). It received love and recognition, not only in Korea but also in 40 countries including Brazil, France, and Mexico, as it made it to the Top 10 lists.

Woo Do Hwan expressed his gratitude, saying, “I feel very fortunate that ‘bloodhounds’ has been released. I’m grateful to see many people enjoying it. I sincerely thank those who are watching and enjoying it. Despite the possible discomfort, we have overcome it with the support of those who love the series. We will do our best to complete the remaining schedule and make it a memorable work.”

Regarding the series reaching 2nd place in the global rankings, Woo Do Hwan said, “I’m extremely grateful. To be honest, I couldn’t rejoice too much. It was quite difficult. I couldn’t have the mindset of ‘We will do well.’ This was a project that many people struggled with for several years, and just the fact that it was released made me truly grateful. There were moments when I thought we couldn’t complete this work, and I have various emotions.”

He mentioned the controversy surrounding Kim Sae Ron, who was involved in a drunk driving incident and caused the suspension of filming for a month, as well as her departure from the project. Woo Do Hwan shared that he went through a series of events where many people had a hard time, and he reflected on the importance of not causing harm to others. He emphasized, “I once again realized that we should never cause harm to others. Committing a crime is never acceptable. Crime is an act that should never be committed, and it is something that can never be forgiven. I have always been well aware of this, and I wanted to live a life without causing harm to others.”

He further expressed, “I sometimes wonder if my acting could cause discomfort to others or if I could harm someone. If I think about that too much, I might not be able to do this job. However, there are also people who support and love what I do. Rather than becoming more cautious because of this incident, I have a principle that I should not cause harm to others.”
