Uhm Ki Joon, Hwang Jung Eum, Lee Joon, Lee Yu Bi, Shin Eun Kyung, Yoon Jong Hoon, Jo Yoon Hee, Jo Jae Yoon, and Lee Deok Hwa have been confirmed to lead the new drama “Escape of the Seven” by creators of the hit drama “The Penthouse.”
On September 22, SBS announced that they cast Uhm Ki Joon, Hwang Jung Eum, Lee Joon, Lee Yu Bi, Shin Eun Kyung, Yoon Jong Hoon, Jo Yoon Hee, Jo Jae Yoon, and Lee Deok Hwa in the new drama “Escape of the Seven.”
“The Escape of the Seven” tells the story of seven people involved in the disappearance of a girl who gets entangled with numerous lies and desires, facing a huge incident.
Writer Kim Soon Ok and producer Joo Dong Min, who surprised viewers with unconventional stories related to revenge, murder, and affair in their previous work “Penthouse,” are back together again.
Uhm Ki Joon plays the role of Matthew Lee, the CEO of the nation’s biggest mobile platform company. Matthew Lee is a mysterious figure so veiled that few people know his real side. He appears in front of the world in a bizarre case.
Hwang Jung Eum will take the role of Geum Ra Hee, the CEO of a competent and reckless drama production company. Geum Ra Hee is a woman who values money and success as the greatest value of her life and looks for her daughter whom she abandoned 15 years ago to inherit a huge heritage.
Lee Joon plays the role of Min Do Hyuk, a man who is a gangster and lives without any dreams or hopes, and Lee Yu Bi will play a woman who lives a false life while hiding her desires as an aspiring school star and idol.
Shin Eun Kyung plays the role of Cha Joo Ran, an obstetrics and gynecology specialist, and Lee Deok Hwa plays Bang Chil Sung, a rich building owner, and Cha Joo Ran lives with Bang Chil Sung who is like a father to him and aims for his wealth.
In addition, Yoon Jong Hoon plays Yang Jin Mo, CEO of Cherry Entertainment, an entertainment agency, Jo Yoon He plays art teacher Ko Myung Ji, and Jo Jae Yoon plays Nam Chul Woo, a detective class president of Deokseon Police Station.
