The popular drama “Stranger” will reportedly return with season 3 which will be a spin-off of the drama.

According to OSEN coverage on October 25, the production team of the drama “Stranger” is planning for season 3. This time, it is said that they are preparing a spin-off version, which is raising expectations.

“Stranger” is a drama about the story of lonely prosecutor Hwang Si Mok (played by Cho Seung Woo) and activist detective Han Yeo Jin (played by Bae Doona) tracking the truth of the hidden cases. Season 1 of “Stranger” in 2017 debuted with 16 episodes and was greatly praised as a “well-made drama.” Thanks to this, it returned with another season in 2020 which was also broadcast in 16 episodes, ending with the highest viewer rating of 9.4%.

According to broadcasting officials, Season 3 of “Stranger” will be made into a spin-off version that tells a new story. As a result, it is expected to continue the series and provide a different enjoyment through variations of characters.

However, an official from Ace Factory, a production company of “Stranger,” cautiously told OSEN, “So far, nothing has been confirmed regarding season 3. We are discussing various possibilities.

The production team of Season 3 of “Stranger” plans to carry out concrete work with the goal of releasing the drama at the end of next year.
