Ji Sung, Jeon Mi Do And More Show Stellar Performances For Upcoming SBS Drama 1st Script Reading

The upcoming k-drama titled “Connection” raised expectations sharing photos of its 1st script reading!

Recently, the production team of SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Connection” unveiled the script reading session where all the main cast members were present. According to the production team, the script reading session was conducted in a passionate atmosphere filled with the actors’ enthusiasm, along with the exclamation from the director, “Let’s create a really exciting drama.”

“Connection” is led by Ji Sung, Jeon Mi Do, Kwon Yul, Kim Kyung Nam and more, and is a suspense drama that traces the twisted history of a drug detective team ace who was forcibly addicted to drugs by someone, as he begins to discover the connection through the clue of his friend’s death, spanning 20 years.

The drama has been garnering attention with its unconventional subject matter of a drug-addicted narcotics detective.  

Ji Sung takes on the role of Jung Jae-kyung, the superintendent of the narcotics team at Ahn Hyun Police Station, who receives the respect of his juniors and the trust of his seniors within the police force.

Jeon Mi Do demonstrated her fiery vocalization and lively acting skills to portray the determined journalist Oh Yoon-jin, who sticks to her convictions.

Kwon Yool, who plays prosecutor Park Tae-jin from the Prosecutor’s Office, showcased a sharp and cold-hearted transformation.

Kim Kyung Nam, who plays the vice chairman of Geumhyung Group, Won Jong-soo, with wealth and power, displayed intense villainous acting.

Lastly, Jung Soon Won, who portrays Heo Ju-song, the CEO of Tustar Holdings, exudes a delightful charm as his humanistic appeal shines through the breathtaking story.

The production team expressed their confidence, stating that “Connection” is a well-made drama that encompasses artistic merit, topicality, and a meaningful message. They also mentioned that during the script reading, they were convinced that “Connection” would become a successful drama in SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama genre.

“Connection” is scheduled to air in May.
