Song Joong Ki opened up about his feelings regarding his recent controversial remarks about “career interruption” in an interview with a Chinese media outlet.

During an interview related to the film “Hopeless” in Seoul on the 25th, Song Joong Ki addressed the controversy surrounding his previous remarks, saying, “I don’t feel unjustly treated.”

During the interview with the Chinese media outlet, Song Joong Ki was asked about his thoughts on becoming a father and husband while being invited to Cannes. He replied, “Becoming a father and husband in the entertainment industry means losing a job. In the entertainment industry, it sometimes appears that becoming a father, having a child, and getting married causes me to lose more job opportunities.”

Regarding this, Song Joong Ki expressed his surprise, saying, “I found out about the controversy after receiving a call while I was in Italy,” and called it an “unexpected issue.” He also mentioned that apart from translation issues, he realized that it could be interpreted as uncomfortable. He reflected on the situation, saying, “I should be more cautious. It could have been interpreted that way.”

Meanwhile, “Hopeless” is a noir film that tells the story of a young boy named Yeon Gyu (played by Hong Sa Bin) who wants to escape from a hellish reality and ends up getting involved with the middle boss of an organization, Chi Gun (played by Song Joong Ki). The movie is set to be released on October 11th.
