After the successful premiere of “Moving,” Actor Lee Jeong Ha’s weight loss story gained attention among fans.
‘Moving’ is a fantasy action film that tells the story of children living with hidden superpowers and parents who have kept painful secrets. It is based on the webtoon of the same name by Kang Full, released in 2015. Han Hyo Joo, Ryu Seung Ryong, Cha Tae Hyun, Ryu Seung Bum, Jo In Sung, Kim Sung Kyun, Kim Hee Won, Moon Sung Geun, Yang Dong Geun, Kim Shin Rok, are starring in the drama.
Lee Jeong Ha, a rookie actor, plays Kim Bong-seok, a high school senior who has the ability to fly but lives hiding his power. Bong-seok struggles with his fluctuating emotions and the ability to float whenever he feels them, causing inconvenience.
His mother, Mi-hyun (played by Han Hyo Joo), worries that her son’s abilities will be revealed to the world. To portray the character of Bong-seok, who is depicted as a chubby figure in the original work, Lee Jeong Ha gained 30kg of weight.
Director Park In Je, who directed the drama, said about Lee Jeong Ha, “Even though he is doing wire action for the first time in this work, he seems to be the best actor in Korea at wire action.” Kang Full, the author, said, “He worked really hard to digest the character. He is a friend full of passion.”
‘Moving’ was released on Disney+ on August 9th. After releasing all seven episodes at once, two episodes will be released per week.
Note: the drama’s filming started in 2021 and wrapped up in mid-2022.
