SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Connection’ has released two main posters hinting at the fierce struggle of Detective Ji Sung, the ace of the narcotics team, who is addicted to drugs.
Scheduled to premiere on May 24th, ‘Connection’ (written by Lee Hyun, directed by Kim Moon-kyo) is a ‘addiction chasing suspense’ drama that reveals the distorted friendship and connection that has been going on for 20 years as the ace detective of the narcotics team, who is forcibly addicted to drugs, follows the clues of his friend’s death.
‘Connection’ gathers attention as writer Lee Hyun, who presented a unique empathetic story in ‘Confession of a Prosecutor’, and director Kim Moon-gyo, who showed meticulous directing in ‘Trolley’, come together. In addition, actors with strong acting skills such as Ji Sung, Jeon Mi Do, Kwon Yul, and Kim Kyung Nam are all gathering to announce the birth of a ‘well-made crime drama’ that will stir up the TV drama industry.
The main character Jang Jae-kyung, played by Ji Sung, is a chief detective in the narcotics team at the Anhyeon Police Station who is highly regarded within the police force, but he is forced to become addicted to drugs by someone and eventually goes through a series of difficulties. Related to this, the ‘main posters’ featuring Jang Jae-kyung, who will unravel the story of the central connection that is intertwined with all the narratives in the drama, has been released.
Particularly, the main poster consisting of a full shot and a close-up emphasizes the external and internal changes of Jang Jae-kyung, capturing the audience’s attention.
‘Connection’ will air at 10 PM on May 24th, following “The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection.”
