In the finale of Part 1 of the drama “My Dearest,” there were mixed opinions among viewers. Namgoong Min personally reached out to appease the fans.
On the 3rd of September, Namgoong Min expressed his thoughts on the conclusion of “My Dearest” Part 1 by stating, “I watched for a long time while you hated me for the day you left me forever. But no matter how much I watch, I can’t feel any hatred, so maybe it was me who was hated.” He also thanked everyone for their love, interest, and concerns and promised to repay them with a beautiful love story between Jang Hyun and Gil Chae.

In the recently ended MBC drama “My Dearest,” Jang Hyun (played by Namgoong Min) proposed to Yoo Gil Chae (played by Ahn Eun Jin) saying, “I will become the woman’s servant.” However, Gil Chae thought about her father, younger brother, her friend Kyung Eun Ae (played by Lee Da In), and her family, and ultimately chose them.
Gil Chae handed Jang Hyun a pair of wedding shoes and a letter intentionally written coldly. Jang Hyun left, and Gil Chae watched him leave with a heart-wrenching sadness. Two years later, Jang Hyun rescued Joseon prisoners in Shimyang. In the process, he encountered a Qing Dynasty prisoner hunter named Blue Mask (played by Lee Chung Ah), bringing Part 1 of “My Dearest” to an end.
However, viewers were outraged by the development of “My Dearest.” They expressed concerns about Ahn Eun Jin leaving and Lee Chung Ah appearing, causing a change in the female lead. In response, Nam Goong Min promised a happy ending and personally reached out to state that he would repay them with a love story between Jang Hyun and Gil Chae.
Meanwhile, Part 2 of “My Dearest” will be aired in October on MBC.
