On the 15th of June, the production presentation of the JTBC weekend drama “King The Land” took place at a Hotel Seoul. Lee Junho, YoonA and director Im Hyun Wook attended the event, which was hosted by broadcaster Park Kyung Rim.
In particular, Lee Junho and YoonA have shared the past in the music industry, so when asked about their impressions of working together in the drama “King The Land,” they responded with excitement.
First, Lee Junho said, “Although we have that past together, when we were filming “King The Land” it felt more like actors meeting rather than colleagues. Of course, because we had worked together for a certain period, we had a comfortable conversation as if meeting old friends. We even made ridiculous jokes and talked a lot about gods as if we were three friends. We had a lot of fun.”
YoonA expressed her joy, saying, “It’s such a great feeling. We have been working together since we were young, and I was so happy to meet on a project like this. We talked about that time and thanks to that, we were able to create a cheerful atmosphere on set.”
When it comes to the promise of viewership ratings, director Im expressed an extraordinary ambition that surprised everyone. Initially, when asked about viewership rating commitments, both Lee Junho and YoonA hesitated to answer but mentioned that it would be good to fulfill the promises that viewers want.
Hearing this, director Im said, “Instead of talking about expected numbers, I want to say that we truly believe in ourselves. If we were to mention a target viewership rating, I think we should aim to be the highest-rated drama aired this year.”
Meanwhile, the JTBC drama “King The Land” premiered on the 17th at 10:30 PM.
