Lee Joon, Kang Han Na, and Jang Hyuk have been confirmed for leading roles in KBS 2TV’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Red Heart”!

On November 2, KBS shared that the actors have joined the drama after it was reported that they were in talks.

“Red Heart” is a fictional historical drama about Lee Tae, who becomes the king of Joseon and dreams of absolute monarchy.

Lee Joon is taking on the role of Lee Tae, the man who aims to strengthen his authority by getting rid of a man named Park Kye Won and his subjects. He’s the type of character to think every action he takes is justifiable

Kang Han Na is taking on the role of Yoo Jung, a free-spirited woman who Lee Tae is in love with. He picks her as the crown princess and causes a sticky situation for his family, he’s forced to choose between his family’s revenge plans and her.

Jang Hyuk will take on the role of Park Kye Won, he will be involved in an intense conflict with Lee Tae. He’s a known symbol of power and a figure everyone respects and obeys. He’s a king maker who creates a young wise king with his own hands so that the foundation of Joseon can’t be shaken easily by tyrants again.

Lee Joon and Jang Hyuk have previously worked together on the 2013 drama “Iris 2.”

“Red Heart” will be directed by Yoo Young Eun, who previously directed “How to Buy a Friend” and “Manhole,” and written by Park Pil Joo, who previously wrote dramas including “Marry Me Now” and “First Love Again.”

The drama joins the lineup for the first half of 2022.

My personal thoughts- by Jass K.

This is interesting. So basically, Lee Joon is playing a baddie role? Omg, if that’s true, I am so in. Historical dramas aren’t really my thing but I don’t mind them if they’re well made. I am so excited to see how this pans out, the idea seems interesting.

2022 already has over 37 kdramas lined up, so many interesting ideas. I can’t wait to see how they all develop.
