“Revenant” has revealed photos from its first script reading!
SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Revenant” (written by Kim Eun Hee, directed by Lee Jung Rim, produced by Studio S, BA Entertainment), which will premiere on June 23rd, is a Korean occult mystery drama that uncovers the mysterious death of a woman tormented by a revenant and a man who can see that revenant.
In November of last year, before the actual filming began, the first ever script practice session took place at the Ilsan SBS Production Center, with director Lee Jung Rim and writer Kim Eun Hee leading the way. Kim Tae Ri, Hong Kyung , Park Ji Young, Kim Won Hae, Ye Su Jung, and special guest Jin Sun Kyu attended the reading.
First, Ku San-Young played by Kim Tae Ri is a determined twenty-something youth who works part-time during the day and studies for the civil service exam at night. However, she receives an heirloom from her father that should never be accepted and becomes involved with the revenant.
Oh Jung Se’s transformation in the role of the folklorist who can see revenants, Yeom Hae Sang. Yeom Hae Sang has been able to see ghosts and gods since childhood and has trouble getting along with others and becomes engrossed in folklore studies.

Hong Kyung plays the role of elite police detective Lee Hong Sae. He is a detective with a strong sense of self and is results-oriented, but he gradually changes after meeting his partner “Moon Choon” and encountering mysterious incidents.
In addition, there were also actors worth paying attention to. Jin Sun Kyu, who played the role of San Young’s father and folklorist Gu Kang Mo.
“Revenant” premieres on June 23.
