The drama ‘Tears of the Queen,’ starring actors Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, has been officially pushed back to 2024.

According to Star News coverage on the 13th of July, tvN’s new drama ‘Tears of the Queen’ will not be airing in the second half of this year as previously announced.

‘Tears of the Queen’ was originally planned to be broadcast in the second half of this year. In February, tvN officially announced its drama lineup for 2023, which included this drama in the second half.

According to the report, there have been changes in the scheduling of tvN’s weekend dramas. The second half of this year’s tvN weekend drama lineup includes “The Uncanny Counter 2” in July, ‘Arthdal Chronicles 2” in September, ‘Diva of the Desert’ in October, and ‘Maestro’ in December.

‘Maestro,’ starring Lee Young Ae, has already been confirmed as a tvN weekend drama for December. As a result, ‘Tears of the Queen’ had to be rescheduled. It is now planned to air next year (2024), and the specific timing of its broadcast is currently under discussion.

As a result, viewers who were anticipating the drama ‘Tears of the Queen’ with Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won will have to wait until next year for its premiere. It is a change from being a highly anticipated drama for the second half of 2023 to becoming a highly anticipated drama for 2024.

‘Tears of the Queen’ is a miraculous love story about a couple overcoming a thrilling crisis. It is the latest work by Park Ji-eun, the writer behind hit dramas such as ‘Crash Landing on You,’ ‘My Love from the Star,’ and ‘The Legend of the Blue Sea.’ Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won will portray a married couple. Kim Soo Hyun takes on the role of Baek Hyun-woo, the pride of Yongduri Village and the legal advisor of the Queen’s Group, while Kim Ji Won plays Hong Hae-in, the haughty heiress of the Queen’s Department Store and a third-generation conglomerate member. The drama is co-directed by Jang Young-woo, known for ‘Crash Landing on You’ and ‘Mr. Sunshine,’ and Kim Hee-won, known for ‘Vincenzo’ and ‘Little Women.’
