Kim Si Eun And Won Ji An Reportedly Joined “Squid Game 2,” Netflix And Agencies Issue Comments
Further news regarding the casting of female actors in “Squid Game 2” continue to emerge sparking interest.
On the 26th of June, there was a report about Kim Si Eun joining the cast, but her agency, Keyeast, stated, “It is difficult to confirm.”
On the 28th of June, reports claimed that Won Ji An is also set to join the cast. A representative from Won Ji An’s agency commented, “It is difficult for us to confirm her appearance in ‘Squid Game 2.'”
Previously, reports emerged about actors such as Park Gyu Young and Jo Yu Ri joining “Squid Game 2,” but their respective agencies also maintained the same position.
Previously, Netflix announced that Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Gong Yoo and Wi Ha Joon, who are the protagonists of season 1, will appear in the 2nd season. In addition to the original cast, Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Sung Hoon, and Yang Dong Geun join as well.
The lineup of female actors was not revealed at that time. Regarding this, Netflix stated, “This is just the beginning. More casting news will be shared soon, including significant female characters.”
