Actress Kim Seo Hyung’s upcoming suspense drama will be screened at the 2023 Cannes International Series Festival.
On March 29, the “Paper Moon” side announced, “‘Paper Moon’ has been confirmed to be screened at the 2023 Cannes International Series Festival and will be introduced to people around the world beyond Korea. This proves the meaning of both the work and topic at the same time is special.”
The original Genie TV drama “Paper Moon” is a suspense drama in which Yoo Yi Hwa (Kim Seo Hyung), who lived a suffocating daily life, faces an irreversible moment when she embezzles money from VIP customers of the bank.
Launched in 2018, ‘Paper Moon’, presented at the Rendezvous (non-competition) of the Cannes Drama Festival, which marks its 6th anniversary this year, is expected to once again raise the status of K-content. As it was selected as the ‘2023 Domestic OTT Overseas Distribution Support Industry’ by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Broadcasting System, this news raises the expectations of viewers before airing of the drama.

Meanwhile, “Paper Moon” will be released on Genie TV, ENA, and TVING on April 10.
