The KBS Joy program “Pick Me Trip In Bali” team encountered a problem during filming in Bali and they’re now held there.
According to a report by media outlets on the 26th, the production team of “Pick Me Trip In Bali” was caught by the authorities in Bali for filming without proper permission, also known as “stealth filming.”
“Pick Me Trip In Bali” entered Bali on the 21st and was scheduled to return on the 25th. However, it was revealed that the production team filmed without prior permission, causing an issue and resulting in being unable to return.
The cast, including Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon, Apink’s Bomi, broadcaster Choi Hee, actress Lim Nayoung from I.O.I, and Secret Number’s Dita, as well as approximately 30 staff members, had their passports confiscated and are effectively being held in Bali. They are currently staying at a hotel, undergoing an investigation by the Bali authorities, and are expected to return to Korea next week after the investigation is completed.
The cast members who had scheduled activities in Korea are currently hurriedly adjusting their schedules to deal with the aftermath.
An official stated, “Even though they are staying in Bali, the cast members do not even know the exact reason for their detainment. The production team is not sharing the situation well, which is frustrating.” Another official said, “This situation is confusing. We need to finish the investigation first to understand the situation. We are making efforts to return quickly.”
“Pick Me Trip In Bali” was preparing for a broadcast in May.
