Actors Kim Hee Sun and Lee Hye Young will reunite for the MBC drama ‘Our House’.
‘Our House’ is a human black comedy that tells the story of a protagonist who is a family psychology counselor and is threatened by an unknown blackmailer, leading her to collaborate with her mother-in-law, a mystery novel writer, to protect her family and career. Kim Hee Sun will play the role of Noh Young-won, the best family problem counselor in Korea and a beloved celebrity.
Noh Young-won lives a perfect life in both work and family, but when a certain incident shakes her life, she starts collaborating with her mother-in-law, Hong Sa-gang, played by Lee Hye Young, to protect her precious family.
Lee Hye Young’s character, Hong Sa-gang, is a popular mystery novelist who is hailed as the Agatha Christie of Korea and a perfect mother who dedicates everything to her son, Jae-jin. She begins collaborating with her daughter-in-law, Young-won, to face an unbearable incident, showcasing Lee Hye-young’s excellent acting skills.
In addition, the anticipation for the drama has been heightened by the collaboration of writer Nam Ji-yeon, who wrote the web drama ‘So I Married an Anti-fan’, and director Lee Dong-hyun, who directed ‘Doctor Lawyer’ and ‘Miss Ripley’.
The production team stated, “‘Our House’ is not just a typical intense family conflict drama. It is a drama that confronts the true colors of the family that I didn’t know when everything that was taken for granted under the name of ‘family’ is shaken. Kim Hee Sun and Lee Hye Young, representing their respective generations, will approach the audience with their charming performances.”
Meanwhile, ‘Our House’ has been confirmed to air as an MBC Friday-Saturday drama in 2024, and full-scale production has begun.
