Ji Chang Wook Caught Smoking Indoors, Agency Issues Apology
Actor Ji Chang Wook has apologized for “indoor smoking.”
On the 11th of February, Ji Chang Wook’s agency, Spring Company, apologized in an official statement to the press.
This happened after a making of video was published by JTBC for its “Welcome to Samdal-ri” drama, fans noticed that Ji Chang Wook was holding an electronic cigarette in an indoor set where actors and staff were present. This led to a controversy regarding Ji Chang Wook’s indoor smoking issue.
Since smoking or vaping indoors is prohibited in Korea aside from designated smoking areas, the footage went viral and caused a lot of backlash for the actor. There were also some netizens bringing up the topic of him smoking in front of the PD during filming rehearsals.
The video has since edited out the portion where Ji Chang Wook was seen smoking.
