Actors Jang Nara, Nam Ji Hyun, Kim Joon Han, and Block B’s P.O have been confirmed for the cast of SBS drama “Good Partner.”
“Good Partner” is a human courtroom office drama about star divorce lawyer Cha Eun-kyung, whose destiny is divorce, and rookie lawyer Han Yoo-ri, who experiences divorce for the first time. The drama is based on the divorce empathetic Instagram webtoon “Merry Red” by Choi Yoo-na, a divorce specialist lawyer, and is directed by Kim Ga-ram, known for “I Know but,” “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency,” and “Vampire Detective.”
Actress Jang Nara will play the role of Cha Eun-kyung, a star divorce lawyer whose destiny is divorce. With 17 years of experience, she is a veteran lawyer who everyone acknowledges but has a straightforward and sharp personality. Despite her title as the nation’s divorce lawyer, Cha Eun-kyung finds herself in a divorce crisis and undergoes a big change as she clashes and teams up with rookie lawyer Han Yoo-ri, who is completely opposite to her. Jang Nara expressed her excitement about working with a great director, writer, and actor Nam Ji Hyun, saying, “The script was very exciting. I’m happy to be able to work with Nam Ji Hyun, whom I wanted to act with.”
Nam Ji Hyun will portray Han Yoo-ri, a rookie lawyer experiencing divorce for the first time. She believes that a true lawyer should prioritize the company’s interests and faithfully fulfill the role of a representative, even for clients who have made mistakes. She constantly clashes with Cha Eun-kyung, who prioritizes personal interests. Nam Ji Hyun commented, “It’s a drama that makes you think about various aspects of human life. I will work hard, so please support us.”
Actor Kim Joon Han will appear as Jung Woo-jin, a senior lawyer and the team leader of the divorce team at the law firm Daejeong. He is a gentle yet charismatic person who applies the brakes when Cha Eun-kyung goes out of control and doesn’t hold back his complaints. However, he also experiences changes along with Cha Eun-kyung’s divorce crisis. Kim Joon Han said, “Each story feels like a living reality but is also very dramatic. Please look forward to it and give us your love.”
Block B’s P.O will play the role of Jeon Eun-ho, an optimistic lawyer. He becomes Han Yoo-ri’s exclusive marker after receiving an order to prevent frequent departures of rookie lawyers from the divorce team. He mentioned, “I will be portraying a completely different lawyer role from what I have shown so far. Please wait for it with high expectations and support.”
SBS drama “Good Partner” is scheduled to air in 2024.
