Singer IU performed a congratulatory song at singer Jeon So-hyun’s wedding, one of her known backup singers.
On February 3, IU posted a video of the wedding on her social media along with a caption that said, “Why did I receive a surprise event at So-hyun’s wedding? It was even better to sing ‘Meaning of You’ while looking at you. Be happy. Our precious So-hyun.”
In the video, IU sang the song ‘Meaning of You’ as a congratulatory song while facing the bride, Kwon So-hyun. IU seemed touched by So-hyun’s singing and had a bright smile.
At the wedding, IU revealed the connection she had with the bride, saying, “We have mixed our voices together for 10 years.” Kwon So-hyun gained recognition through the audition program ‘K-pop Star 4’ in 2014 and has been active as a singer under the name WVVE, participating as a chorus for various artists including IU.
Meanwhile, IU released a pre-release song ‘Love wins all’ on January 24, which has been sweeping various music charts, and will release her 6th mini album ‘The Winning’ on February 20.
