Im Soo Hyang, Sung Hoon, Shin Dong Wook, And Hong Ji Yoon Gather For First Script Reading Session Of Upcoming Drama Remake Of “Jane The Virgin”

SBS has unveiled photos from their upcoming drama “Woori The Virgin” (Also known as “From Today We Are) first-script reading session!

Woori The Virgin” is rom-com drama that is a remake of the popular American tv-series “Jane The Virgin.” It tells the story of Oh Woo Ri (Im Soo Hyang) who is keeping her virginity till marriage but has an unexpected accident when she goes to the OB-GYN and gets pregnant through artificial insemination, the father turns out to be Raphael (Sung Hoon), the CEO of a cosmetic company who is a secret romantic hoping one day to meet someone who he will fall in love with and live happily with them.

The actors Im Soo Hyang, Sung Hoon, Shin Dong Wook, Hong Ji Yoon, Hong Eun Hee, Kim Soo Ru, Yeon Won Kyung, and more were present with the director Jung Jung Hwa.

Im Soo Hyang will play Oh Woo Ri, she is an assistant writer of a popular drama who unintentionally becomes pregnant with Raphael’s baby. Sung Hoon will play Raphael, the CEO of a cosmetic company who gets entangled with Oh Woo Ri after the accident. Im Soo Hyang and Sung Hoon are now reuniting after 11 years since their SBS drama “New Tales of Gisaeng,” making fans look forward to seeing them together again.

Shin Dong Wook will play Lee Kang Jae, a homicide detective who is Oh Woo Ri’s boyfriend, he is aware of her decision to keep her virginity till marriage and respects that. Hong Ji Yoon will play Raphael’s wife Lee Ma Ri, who only married him for appearance. While Hong Eun Hee will play Bae Eun Ran a vocal instructor who has always dreamed of becoming a singer

“Woori The Virgin” is set to premiere on May 9, taking over the time slot previously occupied by “A Business Proposal.”
