Actress Han So Hee’s agency has clarified the controversy surrounding her attitude after recent video went viral.
Han So Hee attended the 20th-anniversary event of the high jewelry brand B in Paris, France on the 29th of last month. She attended as a global ambassador for the brand.
On that day, Han So Hee appeared wearing B’s new collection, capturing the attention of many people on the scene with her elegant jewelry style.
However, due to a video that spread online, unexpected controversy arose. The video showed Han So Hee furrowing her brows and shouting, “Please be quiet.” When the party noise subsided, Han So Hee posed again towards the reporters.
The short video received mixed reactions from netizens. Responses ranged from disappointment at her raising her voice with a stern expression to criticism for being hasty to judge without knowing the situation on-site. The video sparked various rumors, from rumors of unruly behavior by guests to impersonation of officials.
In relation to this, a representative from her agency 9ato Entertainment told MyDaily on the 5th of March, “There were too many people on-site. All staff were aware of the possibility of accidents. Amidst the tension and focus, communication was disrupted due to the noise. Everyone was requesting each other to be quiet.”
The representative further explained, “The controversial video was edited to only show Han So Hee briefly, making it appear exaggerated. The atmosphere on-site was not strange at all, and the event ended in a friendly manner. We did not anticipate the controversy.”
Especially, the representative emphasized that there were no ordinary people or guests at the scene, stating, “Han So Hee never treats her fans or staff rudely. It was a distressing situation due to the selective video footage.”
Meanwhile, Han So Hee is gearing up for the release of season 2 of the Netflix series ‘Gyeongseong Creature.’
