Disney+ “Uncle Samsik” is getting released soon!
Disney+ announced that the original series “Uncle Samsik” will be released on May 15th.
“Uncle Samsik” tells the story of elite young man Kim San (played by Byun Yo Han) who dreams of creating a country where everyone eats well and lives well, and uncle Samsik (played by Song Kang Ho) who insists on eating three meals a day even during war, coming together to pursue their dreams in a chaotic era.
The released opening teaser captures the attention with people looking for “Uncle Samsik” in different situations. Starting with a student asking, “Who is Samsiki?” followed by various calls such as “Hey, Samsiki”, “Samsik-ah”, “Samsiki uncle”. Some call out with joy, while others with suspicion, longing, or disdain, increasing curiosity about uncle Samsik.

The opening poster, also released together, captures hearts with Song Kang-ho’s warm gaze and gentle smile. The caption, “When your stomach is full, your heart opens up,” not only represents Samsik’s philosophy but also raises curiosity about who he is facing.
Disney+’s original series “Uncle Samsik,” which marks Song Kang Ho’s first series and promises a well-made work through the meeting of director Shin Yeon-shik’s unique style and delicate acting skills, will be released on Disney+ on May 15th, consisting of a total of 16 episodes.
