Hyun Bong Sik is taking legal action against the spreaders of rumors about abuse towards his ex-girlfriend and pet which were started by his ex-girlfriend.
Hyun Bong Sik’s agency Jerry GoGo Entertainment announced the news on the 1st of March promising strict legal action.
Recently, netizen A [believed to be his ex-girlfriend] posted revealing posts online about male actor B, claiming to have dated B but suffered financial losses due to B’s infidelity. A also accused B of abusing and abandoning a pet.
As A’s posts spread rapidly, speculation arose that B was actually Hyun Bong Sik, but the agency quickly drew a line and promised strict legal action.

Hello. This is Jerry GoGo Entertainment (hereinafter, our agency).
Recently, we have become aware that malicious rumors based on false information about our agency’s actor Hyun Bong Sik are being indiscriminately spread on online communities and SNS.
Those who continue to spread false information not only harm our actor but also cause significant damage to our agency and production company. Therefore, we have decided that we can no longer overlook or tolerate such behavior, recognizing the seriousness of the situation.
From the time when these rumors were raised, our agency has collected all evidence of defamation, dissemination of false information, etc. through a law firm, and we plan to formally file complaints with the investigative authorities against the initial spreaders.
Posting malicious content on SNS that portrays baseless false information as if it were true is a clear illegal act that damages the actor’s reputation, and it is subject to strong legal action.
Furthermore, reproducing false information indiscriminately while spreading posts on SNS or communities is also an illegal act and is also subject to strong legal action.
