Kim Young Kwang and Lee Sung Kyung talked about their roles and friendship on the set of “Call It Love”.

On February 21st, the production presentation of the Disney+ original drama “Call It Love” was held at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Director Lee Kwang Young, actors Kim Young Kwang, Lee Sung Kyung, Seong Jun, Ahn Hee Yeon, and Kim Ye Won were together.

“Call It Love” is an emotional romance between a woman Woo Joo who bravely jumped into revenge and a man who became the target of revenge, Dong Jin, the two who should never have met.

Kim Young Kwang and Lee Sung Kyung, who have known each other for a long time, revealed their friendship. Lee Sung Kyung said, “Because we are close to each other, we knew each other’s tendencies well. I was grateful to Kim Young Kwang for acknowledging my efforts and knowing that I try harder when I am troubled.”

Kim Young Kwang said, “We didn’t know the characters completely at the beginning, so we stayed away from each other for the sake of each other’s characters. In fact, I ran away. Lee Sung Kyung is a good friend to the people in the field. Thank you for leading the atmosphere on set.”

Then, when asked how to immerse himself, Kim Young Kwang said, “I blocked a lot of daily conversations. When I think about how long Dong Jin’s painful heart has continued without being able to speak, I think he must have had no conversations with people. So, to create an atmosphere of Dong Jin, I blocked people a lot, so I was very lonely.”

Lee Sung Kyung said, “I couldn’t sleep anymore after starting the project. I talked to Kim Young Kwang about how amazing it was,” and laughed, saying, “And there were times when I was afraid of how to survive with this mindset. However, humans are adaptable animals, so I adapted.”

She continued, “I had to concentrate on set in the beginning, and I was able to relax while joking around on set. I laughed and joked around before filming, and I once asked, ‘How does the director concentrate so much?’” She explained how she was immersed in playing the role of Woo Joo, saying, “On the outside, I seem to be able to take out my heart and use it while filming.”

“Call It Love” will be released on Disney+ on February 22nd.
