NewJeans sets a new record with their debut album by becoming the group with the highest first-week sales in Hanteo’s history.

According to Hanteo Chart, a total of 311,271 copies of NewJeans’ first mini-album “New Jeans” were sold during the week of release. This is a new record for the first album of girl group debuts. As a result, NewJeans has become a team that holds both a new sales record and an initial record on the first day of the release of all-girl group debut albums based on Hanteo Chart. Also, ‘New Jeans’ went straight to number 11 on all-girl group albums.

“New Jeans” topped the Hanteo Chart’s latest weekly album chart and topped the Circle Chart’s latest weekly retail album chart.

The popularity of NewJeans is also overwhelming on the music charts.NewJeans’ first title track “Attention” and second title track “Hype Boy” remained at No. 1 and No. 2 on the Korean Spotify “Daily Top Song” chart for 13 consecutive days, while the third title track “Cookie” ranked No. 3 for seven consecutive days. “Attention” ranked 179th on the Spotify Global “Daily Top Song” chart on the 13th, marking the third consecutive day of charting.

“Attention” topped Melon and Genie’s daily chart for three days in a row, and remained at the top of the Bugs daily chart for seven consecutive days. The song swept major daily charts in Korea, reaching the top of Vibe’s “Today’s Top 100” chart for five consecutive days.

Meanwhile, NewJeans is a new girl group from ADOR led by CEO Min Hee Jin, and made its debut on July 22 when the music video for “Attention” was released. It is showing off its overwhelming popularity by hitting a high ranking on the music chart with their first mini-album.
