“Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” Sequel Is Coming: Lee Yoo Mi, Ong Seong Wu, Byun Woo Seok And More Confirmed To Lead The Drama

To the fans who fell in love with “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,” a sequel is happening soon!

On May 27, it was reported that Lee Yoo Mi was cast as the female lead for “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” sequel titled “Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon.”

Later on the same day, it was confirmed. “Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon” will be led by Lee Yoo Mi, Ong Seong Wu, Byun Woo Seok, Kim Hae Sook, and Kim Jung Eun.

“Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” is a rom-com that was led by Park Bo Young, Park Hyung Sik, Ji Soo, and more. It told the story of a woman who is gifted with superhuman strength. She falls in love and hopes to achieve her dream of becoming a game designer.

The sequel will focus on her distant cousin Kang Nam Soon, who has immense strength.

“Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon” will focus on the reality of new drug crimes that happen in Gangnam.

Kim Jung Eun will take on the role of Hwang Geum Joo, a wealthy and righteous woman in Gangnam who has been obsessively doing good things to find her lost daughter. Lee Yoo Mi will star as Kang Nam Soon, a woman with great strength, she’s cheerful and whimsical. She became a missing child in Mongolia and came to Gangnam to find her parents.

Veteran actress Kim Hae Sook will play Kang Nam Soon’s maternal grandmother Gil Joong Gan. Ong Seong Woo will play the role of Kang Hee Sik, a detective of a secret investigation team looking into the drug crimes in Gangnam. Byun Woo Seok is taking on the villain role Ryu Si Oh.

It will be written by Baek Mi Kyung who wrote the first season and helmed by Kim Jung Sik of “Work Later, Drink Now.”

“Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon” is scheduled to begin filming this summer and is slated to premiere in the first half of 2023.
