tvN has unveiled a new exciting teaser for their upcoming drama “Yumi’s Cells 2”!

Yumi’s Cells” is based on the hit webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of an ordinary office worker named Yumi- from the point of view of her brain cells that control her every thought, feeling, and action. The first season’s finale aired on October 30, 2021, and the final episode hinted at the second season which is finally happening.

The newly released teaser starts with Yumi’s (Kim Go Eun) past days, when she laughed and cried with the cells, the story revolving around her heart-fluttering relationship with Goo Woong (Ahn Bo Hyun) which ended in a tearful breakup. The ending suddenly is cut which takes the cells by surprise, as they begin to wonder if this really is the end to the story the writer cell explains, “I knew this would happen and that’s why I prepared this! It’s the script for season 2!”

The announcement of this new season excited the cells as they cheered on, the long-awaited return brings joy and life to the cell village. Yumi’s story, which was presumably over, begins again, but this time with the appearance of her co-worker Yoo Babi (GOT7’s Jinyoung). The scene shows Yumi hesitating at Babi’s words, “Let’s go together,” but he then reassures her that she can, making her heart skip a beat.

The chemistry shown between these two characters raises expectations for this new relationship that grew beyond their friendship. In season 1, Yumi matured through dating and later breaking up with Goo Woong, and now in this new season, Yumi will draw closer to achieving her dream, making viewers look forward to her exciting story.
