BIGBANG’s T.O.P has departed YG Entertainment after the group announces first comeback in four years!
On February 7, YG Entertainment announced that BIGBANG will release a song this spring and is currently preparing to film the music video for it. But that’s not all, they also announced that T.O.P has departed the agency after 16 years.
YG Entertainment stated that T.O.P will be taking on a wide variety of new challenges as both an artist and an entrepreneur, they respect his decision to leave the agency and wish him the best. Luckily for fans of the group, YG also added that T.O.P will still participate in the group’s comeback and future activities whenever he is able to.
This will mark BIGBANG’s first song in four years since their last single “Flower Road” which was released back in March 2018. The news went viral as soon as YG released the statement. While fans are upset to learn that T.O.P has left the agency, they’re glad he’ll still be part of BIGBANG and will still participate in his group’s activities.
T.O.P’s next step is still largely unknown and up to fans’ speculations, fans hope to hear happy news from T.O.P regarding his next step soon. Many are wondering whether he’ll continue to release music or whether he’ll pivot towards acting.
