Son Ye Jin is coming back with a new drama!
On June 30, a source from Son Ye Jin’s agency stated that the actress is confirmed to come back with the new JTBC drama “39.” This will mark her first JTBC drama in three years since “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food.”
“39” will only be 12 episodes long and focuses on the romance and everday lives of three friends who are about to turn 40. Son Ye Jin is set to take on the role of Cha Mi Jo, a woman who grew up in a wealthy environment, someone who had everything she wished for, she is the head dermatologist of a clinic in Gangnam.
Other actors in talk for the drama include Jeon Mi Do, Ahn So Hee, Yeon Woo Jin, and Lee Moo Saeng.
The drama will be written by Yoo Young Ah who previously worked on “Encounter,” and “Kim Ji Young, Born In 1982,” and will be directed by Kim Sang Ho who recently directed “Run On.”
The drama is set to begin filming some time in August, the premiere date is yet to be set.
