It was recently reported that iKON Jinhwan and Junhoe got into a car accident caused by driver ‘A’ who was driving under the influence.
At the time of the report, it was revealed that police was investigating the accident as a DUI. The members were treated for minor injuries and were resting at their dorms.
A new report revealed that the driver had a blood alcohol level of 0.08% or higher. The police have booked A on charges of drunk driving, but the report also revealed something that took fans by surprise.
According to the report, the police are considering whether to charge iKON members Jinhwan and Junhoe with aiding and abetting. This may sound weird to non-Korean Kpop fans but it’s against the Korean law to allow a drunk person to drive knowing they’re drunk.
The case is currently under investigation.
YG Entertainment had previously released a statement in which they apologized for the incident and revealed that the driver A will cooperate fully with the police and they will also investigate the incident internally.
