How Korean Media Outlets Are Attempting To Stir Controversy Regarding BTS Jungkook Minor Car Incident

Korean media refuses to let go of the minor car incident involving BTS Jungkook!

It was previously reported that BTS Jungkook had caused a minor car crash with a taxi driver. Big Hit released a statement in which they stated Jungkook had admitted to his mistakes, he settled with the taxi driver as well.

It was later followed by a statement by the police which iterates that he didn’t drive under the influence since some antis had been attempting to stir rumors.

Big Hit didn’t specify the exact date of the incident. In their statement, they wrote, ‘last week.’ The initial press release stated that the incident happened on November 2^nd, however, some Korean news outlets wrote that the incident happened on October 31^st.

In our blog, we went with the initial press release and wrote that it happened on November 2^nd, this is crucial because Jungkook is being targeted by Korean media for his actions on the alleged incident day.

Some Korean news outlets are publishing articles about Jungkook’s social media activities on October 31^st. On that day, he posted a selfie and a picture of him playing the PC game Overwatch.

This insinuates that Jungkook has been carelessly acting like nothing happened shortly before/after he caused that accident. Some k-netizens are criticizing his behavior and many are talking about how he’s been getting himself into trouble recently (referring to the false dating rumors).

The particular article posted to Nate has gathered many comments most of them expressing their disappointment with Jungkook. On the other hand, ARMY defended him against such types of articles and some are calling Big Hit to take action against news outlets that keep bringing up Jungkook minor incident.
