Girl group Kep1er is discussing the extension of their project activities as new reports suggest the project group might be disbanding soon.

Kep1er’s agency Wake One Entertainment stated on the 25th of April, “We are currently in discussion with each member and the agency regarding the extension of their activities.” They added, “Kep1er is currently preparing for a new album. We ask for your support so that we can bring you good music.”

Kep1er, a project girl group formed through Mnet’s “Girls’ Planet 999: Girls’ War” broadcast from August to October 2021, officially has an activity period of 2 years and 6 months. They released their first album in January 2022, and their initial activities were scheduled to end in July this year.

Earlier on the same day, one media outlet alleged the girl group will proceed with disbandment as scheduled due to the agencies failing to agree on the extension and details surrounding it.

Since Kep1er has gained much love both domestically and in Japan, Wake One Entertainment has been discussing the extension of their project activities with each member and their agency since last year. Although there have been rumors that the extension has been canceled, Wake One Entertainment maintains that the discussions are still ongoing.

On May 8th, Kep1er will release their first full-length album, “Kep1going,” in Japan.
