The idol seemed to be really happy when her photos were taken in Incheon International Airport.

But upon her arrival, Indonesian fans shocked her. A huge crowd of fans hovered around her and prevented her from moving an inch.

The story made international headlines, and many fans expressed their disappointment in Indonesian SONEs.

More video clips of the accident and Taeyeon being lifted by the guard spread on the internet. Fans weren’t happy by how the guard lifted Taeyeon up.

She was crying and couldn’t bring herself together and she was groped multiple times by fans, she even fell to the floor and collapsed while crying.

The idol released a statement following the incident, you can read it here.

My Reaction

That scene was scary omgggg!

The poor tiny girl didn’t expect this crowd and people never gave her a chance to breathe properly.

Now I know not all Indonesian fans are like that. It would be stupid of me to curse the entire nation like I have seen in the comment section of the video we previously shared in our YouTube channel.

But I am still very disappointed in all the people who were there. Couldn’t they be more careful? They look like saesangs trying to catch a glimpse of her.

Saying that its SM faults is like saying that (that boy who was hit by car was at fault because he was walking in pedestrian lane), this is how it sounds to me.

I know SM should’ve brought more bodyguards with the girl, I think she only had her manager with her. There seem to be other people beside her as well but I think they’re the hair and makeup girls.

But the low effort SM put for Taeyeon’s safety doesn’t justify what the fans did, after she fell someone could’ve shouted and asked people to clear way for the idol to get up.

The boyguard of the airport wasn’t at fault here. He had to pick her up and drive her to safety, she was being groped by people and touched everywhere and pushed around, he had to do something.

If I were him I would’ve done the same. I know it seems vulgar the way he lifted her up, but in that moment it was the best decision for everyone including the idol herself.

I hope this incident serves as a lesson to Indonesian fans, I know you’re excited about seeing your idol but you won’t get what you want by behaving like that.

The idol could’ve been seriously injured and some of you as well. I just hope this becomes a lesson and teaches fans not only in Indonesia by all over the world the importance of leaving a space for the idol.

You don’t want to leave a bad impression on the idol, you want them to visit your country again, don’t you?[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
